Your child’s story, written by the whole family

Parents, grandparents and the nanny save the moments of a child’s life in one private journal. Every memory is credited to whoever added it and kept by age.

Simple enough for Grandma

Three steps, and the whole family is writing your child’s story together.

  1. Step 1

    Start a journal

Add your child’s name, and a birth date if you like. It takes a minute and it’s free.

  2. Step 2

    Invite the family

Send each person a private link by text or email. They type a code we send them, and they’re in.

  3. Step 3

    Everyone adds memories

Photos, videos, voice clips or a few words, each credited to whoever added it.

Every kind of memory

From the first photo to the song only the nanny knows. Here’s what Ava’s family added this month.

Kept by age, not by upload date

Date a memory to the day, the month or just the year, and it finds its place in your child’s life. Jump to any age.

Ask for the stories you missed

Grandparents remember things you never saw. Ask one person or the whole family a question, and their answers land in your child’s story with their name on them.

  • One gentle email. You can send one reminder yourself, and that’s it.
  • Answers come with credit. Every reply is saved as Grandma’s own memory.
  • No deadlines, no guilt. Nothing is ever marked overdue or incomplete.
Mom asked Grandma Linda
“What was Ava’s first visit to your garden like?”
Grandma Linda replied
She insisted on watering every pot on the porch, including the ones that were already drowning. Then the cat.

Questions families ask

Is Hyrloom a social network?

No. A journal is a private space for one child and the people you invite. There are no followers, no feed of strangers and no ads.

Does Grandma need to be good with technology?

No. She opens your link, enters her email, types the 6-digit code we send, and she’s in. Adding a first memory takes a moment.

Can our nanny add memories?

Yes, as a Caregiver. She sees memories from the day she starts, plus her own.

Who can see our journal?

Only its current members. You choose each person’s role, and you can change it or remove them at any time.

Who pays?

Only the journal’s owner, and only for Plus. Everyone you invite joins for free.

What if we stop paying for Plus?

Nothing disappears. Every memory stays to see, comment on and download; only new uploads past the free storage pause.

Will anyone nag the family to post?

No. A question sends one email, you can send one reminder yourself, and there are no streaks.

Can we take everything with us?

Yes. The owner and parents can download the originals and every memory, milestone and note at any time.
